The Incredible Partnership of Moriah Blue and Kelly Woessner, the agents behind Two Birds Homes

After years as co-owners of Two Little Birds Boutique, in Nevada City, Kelly Woessner and Moriah Blue were ready to fly the nest, entering Real Estate as time-tested business partners, incredible friends, and the agents behind Two Birds Homes. Kelly, a future member of the Board of Directors for The Nevada County Association of Realtors for the 2025-2027 season, and Moriah, Secretary for the Chamber of Commerce, entered their next roles in Real Estate as passionate and active members of the community they love. “We recruit people here!” says Kelly, with a laugh, “That’s why we got into real estate in the first place, because we were such huge supporters of Nevada County – the people, the art, and the environment – that we would scream it from the doorsteps of 234 Commercial St. You don’t have to be a river-rafting mountain-guide to live here; there’s something for everybody.”
Thanks to their social channels, Kelly and Moriah frequently receive calls from clients looking to relocate to “the wonderful place they’ve seen online.” “Our focus for social media is sharing how great our community is,” says Moriah, who manages the duos’ marketing efforts. “A lot of the posts are about community events, other businesses, and what we do as residents of Nevada County. The people who are drawn to us are those who want a place for their nervous systems to relax, who want to be around nature, who like art, being part of a community, and shopping local. So, I’m happy to say, our clients, while some of them are moving in from out of town, really support the vibe of our unique area.”
Their conversation is like a well played rally. It’s a partnership that feels generational, one that began lifetimes ago. The pair exude all the good vibes of two women whose support for one another, and for the businesses they share, appears tangible. “We joke that we were probably married in a past life,” says Kelly, “We were cosmically drawn to each other – just meant to be together.”
Speaking of vibes, there are few people in town the pair aren’t close friends with, or don’t know personally, pausing our conversation to wave to their next appointment who just happens to be seated at the table behind us.“We have an amazing community,” says Moriah, “And we enjoy all it has to offer, while also working really hard to support our families and care for our clients. One of us is always on call, and we tag-team everything. We love that we can offer the convenience of having two hands-on agents, while also keeping constant communication behind the scenes.”
Two Little Birds Boutique and Two Birds Homes are a result of Kelly and Moriah’s innate working relationship. The seamless nature of their combined skills makes for a uniquely robust pairing, able to meet the needs of clients across a broad spectrum of circumstances, from relocation, to downsizing, to upgrading, to selling. “I knew I wanted to get into real estate my whole life,” says Kelly, “My mom was an agent, and I always had my own little desk at her real estate office, I had my own little name tag, I had ‘For Sale’ signs, but Two Little Birds helped me to have a public place to create my core community, and to become a facilitator of community connection. It’s a hub, and we are so grateful for that sacred space and its continued place in the hearts and minds of our small town. And now, through Two Birds Homes, Moriah and I are able to relocate people into amazing new houses, invest in income producing properties, and support our incredible clients in finding that same slice of Nevada-County heaven.”
